Flocculating Polymers have been used for over 30 years to clarify and polish water. These polymers and the right chemistry get proven results.
Adding Magnetite, an inexpensive, magnetic iron oxide ore, to the waste water binds the waste particulate matter to the flocculating polymer.
The magnetite/polymer/particulate waste floc is then removed by passing the water through rotating discs of rare earth magnets which attract the magnetite, removing the waste floc.
The magnetite is recycled by separation from the floc in a shear mixer, and the low volume waste solids are then disposed.
Our MBC Technology has been used in a variety of water treatment applications and has a track record of removing particulate wastes to levels comparable to competing technologies but at faster processing rates and lower costs.
We use gravity flow to reduce energy costs and simplify process control and design. Our modular system can provide a small footprint compact (4’ x 5’ x 7’) unit that can process up to 300 gallons per minute. More modules keep the science of the system predictable and cater for much increased throughput. For any given footprint, these rates are four times higher than those of the leading competitive technologies.
By using simple iron oxides and proven water soluble polymers, our unit can avoid harmful chemicals, simplifying the many regulatory requirements in waste water treatment. By using gravity flow to process the water, power consumption is minimized.
Often the small footprint allows for simple retrofitting to existing systems. No additional buildings or land required.
The smaller size means a portable unit, capable of easy transport and fast deployment to remote locations without the need for extensive capital investments.
